ELMO 16-CL VINTAGE 120V 16mm FILM CHANNEL LOADING OPTICAL SOUND PROJECTOR JAPAN!!!
Used, but in great shape for its age!!! Just some normal cosmetic wear (pictured) on this one!!! Just a few scuffs and scratches here and there but nothing at all major and nothing that should affect performance!!!
Unfortunately, we don't have any 16mm film reels on hand to run through this projector, but we have run the motor, tested the speaker, and struck the lamp and all seems to be functioning perfectly!!!
A problem that we did find though is that there are two internal rubber-based rollers that we can see with the cover removed that have deteriorated. The rubber has begun to come off and is sticky to the touch. This means that it would be unsafe for any film to run through this projector in its current state as it would more than likely ruin the film. The buyer will want to have the rollers replaced once this projector is received if intending to use it to project 16mm film.
This amazing projector features a 2,000ft. (600m) max. reel capacity, magnetic and optical, F/1.2 50mm projection lens, Hi/Low brightness change, induction motor automatic loop restorer, built-in 5" 8-ohm dynamic speaker ¼” extension speaker jack and Elmo’s innovative channel Loading system!!! Projector utilizes a 24V-250W halogen lamp with cold mirror to provide you with stunning picture quality with unparalleled brightness!!!
Hard to find an exact production date for this model but all research points to it being made in the mid 1970's to the mid 1980's
in Japan by Elmo, one of the most trusted names in quality film projectors throughout the world!!! You won’t be disappointed with this one!!!
PLEASE NOTE: This projector is being sold as a vintage collectible and does have some normal cosmetic wear present including minor scuffs and scratches throughout. While the motor, lamp and speaker seem to be functioning properly, we are not able to fully test the projector buy running 16mm film through it as we have none on hand. We did discover though that there are two internal rubber-based rollers that have deteriorated and are sticky to the touch meaning that running any 16mm film through this projector in its current state would more than likely ruin the film. All potential buyer should only bid with the understanding that the aforementioned rollers will have to be replaced they want to safely run 16mm film through this projector. All potential buyers should also carefully review all of the auction photographs to accurately assess this item's current physical condition prior to placing any bids.
